Sad to say I didn’t push play today. ): Last night I didn’t sleep well, so when the alarm went off this morning I hit snooze and went back to sleep for another hour. Today was supposed to be Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs. I should have been smart and at least did the abs workout this morning, but I didn’t think of it until I was driving home from work.
Just got home and it’s 11 at night and almost bed time, so it’s not happening tonight. But! I’ll tack on abs for tomorrow’s workout, and just get up early Monday and do pure Cardio. It’ll be good to get all caught up again.

Cardio Power and Resistance today! (I think.) Best part was that I didn’t have to take a break until about the third round of the warm up, which is some definite improvement! I look forward to the day where I don’t have to take a break through the warm up at all… though with my luck that’ll probably happen the last day of month 1. xD BUT THAT’S OKAY BECAUSE I’D STILL HAVE ACCOMPLISHED IT. WHOO.
Anywho. Second day of reaching my nutrition limit! This is so exciting. I feel like I have more energy again, especially during my workouts, which is fantastic! Speaking of food, I’m hungry again. But it’s 10 pm so I probably shouldn’t be eating… merp.

2/19/2014 (Post for 2/18/2014)
Fit test! At first I was really nervous about it, but that quickly disappeared after the first two moves! I showed a lot of improvement, which I’m really excited about! Don’t really have time to post the scores now, but I’ll definitely do it at some point this week!
Also, a small achievement, I finally managed to get near my calorie goal yesterday! My goal is around 2000-2200, and I think I managed 1850? Still not quite there, but definitely getting better. Whoo!
Anywho, time to get ready for school, so I’ll be back later to post today’s accountability.
Rest daaaaaaaaaayyyy! Thank goodness! Though considering I was mostly at school all day, it’s really not a rest day. xD Tomorrow’s the fit test again, and I’m really excited/nervous for it! Excited because I can’t wait to see my progress, but nervous in case I didn’t make any. Ahhhhh. Guess we’ll see how this goes tomorrow, eh?
In other news, finally tried quinoa today! Made myself a little mexican styled dish with peppers, and black beans, and veggies and yuuuum. It was great. 8D

So! Today was the last day of week two! For all you Insanity doers out there, you know what that means: (a) tomorrow is rest day, and (b) fit test is Tuesday! But let’s start with today though, eh?
So today was Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs. PC went as it usually does (including a bit of improvement from last time, whoo!) but CA was something else! It was my first time doing that workout because on my previous attempts at Insanity I never made it this far. I’m definitely feeling the above work tonight though, and I’m sure the burn is going to be more intense tomorrow. No pain, no gain, eh? Though actually I’m looking forward to the next bout of Cardio Abs. Besides the burn, I quite like that workout. (:
But anyway. I’m really quite glad tomorrow is a rest day. I plan on getting up early at my usual workout time 7) even though I could sleep in till 8 that way I can make myself a decent lunch and whatnot! Still have yet to try quinoa, so that’s what I’ll be doing tomorrow morning!
Oh and guys? I was serious about the recipe thing. If it’s healthy and vegetarian, send it my way. (:
What was today, cardio and resistance? Something like that. But anyway! Today’s workout went fairly well. Again, I can feel myself getting stronger and it’s just so nice! Brings on a tiring feel for the rest of the day, but then again, what can you do? (Keep working out, of course).
Roomies went grocery shopping yesterday and picked up some quinoa! Haven’t gotten to try it yet, but I’m super stoked! Apparently it’s a really healthy way for vegetarians like myself to get protein. Whoooo. 8D If any of you have any spiffy quinoa recipes, feel free to send them my way please!
Even though it’s a “holiday”, still wasn’t slacking on workouts or anything! Today was cardio recovery, thank goodness. If it hadn’t of been, I’m not sure I would have had the motivation to get up and work out. xD But it happened! Two days to go until rest day. Yaaaaay.
Other than that, not much to put on here! Slow day in the life of me.
Cardio Circuit today! I definitely am feeling more confident through the warm up. Still have to take a break every so often, but it’s getting better! Also, those pushups are getting me every time. Instead of pushups, floor sprints, and jumping, usually I’m just going back and forth between the first two. Hopefully getting further in the program will change that! Tomorrow is recovery day, which I’m pretty excited about. Definitely need to use that time to really stretch the body.
Besides working out, I’ve been taking steps to be a little more active normally. Today instead of parking right next to work, I parked in the parking garage, giving me a five minute walk. Plus, five flights of stairs this evening when I go home! Definitely might start parking there on a daily basis, just to get a little more exercise in. Also need to find something to do tomorrow, else I’ll be home being a couch potato all day. Hmmm.
Nutrition… recipes! Feel free to send me recipes, guys! As long as their vegetarian, or ones that can easily be modified to be vegetarian. I love new foods, so throw them at me. (:
Nothing like Pure Cardio right before bed! Unfortunately I woke up late this morning, so working out had to come after getting out of class tonight. On the bright side, got me worn out and ready to sleep!
Almost didn’t do my workout today, but I did it! Today was…. I don’t even remember what it was today. Not cardio circuit….. power and resistance? Yeah, that sounds about right. On the bright side, I got my butt up and did it! And I felt stronger in comparison to last time! Whoo! Unfortunately I still had to take quite a few breaks, but less than last time. Which means progress, and that’s really motivating!
Health wise, I’ve been a pig today. Seriously, so hungry. Foooood. Oh man. Kind of hungry again.

…..Now that that’s out of my system, let’s talk about Insanity. Kind of. Today was rest day, and it was much needed! Granted, had school and all so did a bit of walking around all over campus, but it was nice to be able to go a day without dying on the floor! 8D As great as rest day was, I can’t wait to start week 2 tomorrow! Is it sad that I feel lazy for not doing a workout today? Hmm? Yes, yes it is. Though if I still feel like this tonight when I get home from classes, I’ll probably pop in cardio abs or something. Apparently it’s only a 15 minute long workout, so that can’t be too bad! (I say that now but come tonight if I do it I know I’m going to regret that. xD)
Nutrition is spectacular! Oatmeal with peanut butter and an apple for breakfast, carrots and hummus for a snack, and then leftover veggie stir fry for lunch. I have an apple for later, but haven’t decided on dinner yet. Won’t get home until 9:30 and that’s a little late for a meal. O.o Then again, don’t want too big of a calorie deficit either. Merp.
Anywho! Before I go, my beachbody coach posted this on the forum today, and I just thought I’d share it with you all. It’s pretty humorous, you should go take a look!
SO BEFORE I GET IN TO TODAY’S HEALTH STUFF IT’S STORY TIME. Last night after I was done brushing my teeth I had the sudden urge to flex. I didn’t expect to see anything since I’ve only been working out a week now, but I saw a little definition and the start of little baby muscles! 8D It’s so uplifting to see how well Insanity is starting to work and it’s only been a week!
Anywho, on to today! I was lazy and didn’t get out of bed this morning to workout before work, so I planned on going to the gym afterwards to do weights for half an hour and then doing Insanity when I got home. That didn’t happen, because I decided studying for an exam for tomorrow was a little more important. :P BUT! I did come home and do Insanity, and today’s was Cardio Circuit again. I still had to take a few breaks and modify some movements, but there were quite a bit fewer than last time! I was able to push through more than the last time, and that just makes me so happy. (: I can’t wait to see where I’ll be next Sunday now!
Food wise, been super good today for the most part! (Apparently white rice isn’t the best… next mission is to find a healthy alternative.) Oatmeal again for breakfast again with a little bit of brown sugar. I’m still waiting for those recipes guys! Other than that, my carrots and hummus for snack, veggie stir fry for lunch with the rice, and apparently we’re having fajitas for dinner. Yum. c:
Pure Cardio today and oh my goodness…. pretty sure Shaun T is trying to kill me! (Just kidding, he’s only here to help). Let me say though, it was SO motivating to see all of the people behind him wanting to die too. They’re in tip top shape and taking a break or two during the workout, so I don’t feel so bad now about having to take some! (Though I wish I’d taken less, to be honest…. next time just gotta keep pushing!)
Working out is slowly turning me in to a food eating machine. Always hungry and looking for a (healthy) snack. Carrots and hummus are always a great go-to, but I need something to mix it up a little! If anyone has any suggestions, please. Light up my inbox. Not even kidding.

SO! Today was Cardio Recovery…. I don’t know why the heck they call it that, because it was a workout in itself, just at a bit of a slower pace! My thighs are definitely feeling it now, so I can only imagine how they’ll be feeling in the morning! I dread/crave the burn already. ;D
Health has been on par today! Spinach and mushroom omelette with strawberries for breakfast, carrots and hummus for a snack, I think I also had an apple too? And then a veggie and noodle stir fry for dinner whose leftovers will probably be lunch tomorrow. Yum!
Any recipes out there you guys would like to share? Or your own Insanity/workout stories? Seriously, send them my way! Share the motivation. :D
Confession time: I was naughty today. I didn’t do Insanity because I woke up late and didn’t have enough time to work out, plus shower, plus make breakfast and lunch today because I had to leave earlier than usual for work to take a friend to work. D: I was going to do them this evening after my interview, but then things happened, and it just didn’t happen. However, I did eat nice and healthy today, so hopefully I didn’t gain anything, even if I didn’t lose!
To compensate, tomorrow is two workouts? One in the morning, one in the evening. Either that or get up extra early on Monday, though I don’t really know if I wanna do that because I’ve got an exam that day…. Merp.
So before I start today’s Insanity recap or whatever, I just wanted to give a shout out to my followers! When I started this blog it was so I could personally keep track of my workouts and health, and I didn’t intend on having any followers. So it just really makes me smile that you’re here with me. (Sorry if this is cheesy, but. You know.) Anyway, hi guys and/or gals! (:
ANYWAY. Today’s workout was cardio and resistance, and can I say it was so much better than yesterday’s! After just completing the workout I feel super energized mentally, and my body doesn’t feel like a porcelain doll that’s going to shatter any minute. It’s a nice feeling. Hopefully when I go to take my shower after this I won’t have to sit down the entire time! (x
As for healthy eating today, don’t know what I’m going to have yet… maybe some veggie stir fry with rice? That and a veggie burger sounds like it’ll hit the spot. Note to self when I’m making food later. As I said in yesterday’s post, feel free to send me recipes! Even though I’ve been vegetarian almost a year now, I still can’t make myself extravegant meals yet and I really need to learn some!
